Irish Cream
Recipe provided by the Belfast Wine Makers Circle
If you like the taste of Bailey’s Irish Cream then here is a recipe for you
Ingredients
- 410g. (14.5oz) can of Carnation milk
- 383g. (13.5oz) can of condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon of glycerine
- 1.5 teaspoons of T. Noirot extract Cacao or 6 teaspoons of Camp Coffee
- 1 breakfast mug of Irish whiskey
Method
Tip all the ingredients into a 1 – litre bottle, shake well, sup up and enjoy!!
Coffee Rum
Ingredients
- 8 oz Soft Brown Sugar
- ½ Teaspoon Glycerine
- 10 Fl oz Black Coffee
- ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 6 Fl oz Dark Rum
- Coffee Rum Flavouring
- 4 Fl oz Vodka
Method
Make ½ pint of black coffee and while still hot add sugar.
Allow to cool to below 140°F and then add other ingredients stirring all the time.Allow to cool off and bottle.
Sloe Gin
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Sloes
- Almond Essence
- 8 oz Sugar
- Gin
Method
Clean and prick the Sloes all over with a needle.
Pack into a Kilner type jar, add sugar and a few drops of Almond Essence.
Fill jar with Gin, secure lid tightly and store in a cool place.
Shake daily until all the sugar is dissolved.
Leave still for 10 - 12 weeks.Strain through muslin and bottle
